Welcome

Westcliff U.R.C Pre-School is a privately run pre-school established in 1987. Our Pre-School is situated in the attractive Westcliff United Reformed Church, providing a secure and safe environment for your child. We have an open door policy for all parents and carers and would be pleased to welcome you and your family to Westcliff URC Pre-School at any time..

We are open during term time Monday to Thursday between 9.00- 15:30 and on Friday morning 9-12 in the Caterpillar Room. We are registered for 41 children aged 2 to 5 years old.

We are a member of both the Pre-School Learning Alliance and National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) and registered with Southend Borough Council Early Years and Learning Department to provide Free Funding from the term after your child's 3rd birthdy.

We believe that Early Years education flourishes in a warm and loving atmosphere, so the guiding principle at Westcliff U.R.C Pre-School is that our children should feel settled and happy. To this end our aims are:

To teach children to live and play together.
To provide oppurtunities for activities, always guided by The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
To give freedom of play under a watchful eye.
To encourage independence.
To prepare the children for school and to make the transition easier.

Location

We are situated on Kings Road at the junction with Mount Avenue and Leigh Road, within close distance of Leigh Broadway and of Chalkwell Park, Schools and Station. We can easily be reached by car, train, bus or on foot.

During school term time (Monday – Thursday 9-3.30 and Friday 9-12)
