Pre-School Policies

In our policy folder, which is always on the main desk, you will find a copy of all of our policies, which include Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Special needs, Fire drill procedures and admissions policy plus many more. Please do look through the folder so that you are aware of our policy and procedures.
We have a book that must be signed if somebody other than yourself is picking your child up on any particular day. This book can be found on the main desk.

At the Pre-School we liaise with the appropriate authorities concerning Child Protection which are in force within this establishment. Child Protection legislation requires parents or guardians to sign a book provided by the Pre-School if they wish to take photographs or video recordings of children at concerts, P.E sessions etc. Please ask a member of staff for the book if required. 

Administering medicines
At the Pre-School we can administer prescription medicine. A consent form have to be signed by both the parent and a member of staff. Please see administration of medicines policy.

Unwanted behaviour
This will be dealt with by positive reinforcement, re-direction or shadow care.

Fire drill
This is practised once each term.

Sickness
Please notify a member of staff if your child comes into contact with any infectious diseases, in which case your child should be kept away from Pre-School until the incubation period ends. Please see exclusion period policy.

Any complaints or suggestions should be notified personally to the member or staff in charge for that day, or alternatively in writing to the Principal. Safety checks are always being made regarding the toys and equipment.
